BMW Multi Information Display MID Repair, Restoration Service E31

This restoration/repair service primarily involves replacing the LCD ribbon cable, which connects the PCB to the LCD. Over time, this weak point can cause missing or faded pixels on the information display and clock. I prefer to use the original LCDs, as they provide the best performance. However, in some cases the LCD must be replaced if it is delaminating or the contact pads are deteriorating.

 Repairs include:

• New Ribbon Cable
• Repairing any 'Dead' buttons that don't work or click. 
• Replacing the 4 backlight OSRAM bulbs.
  
• Detailing and cleaning of face, buttons.

• Previously opened or repaired MID's may incur additional charges if mailed in with damaged or missing parts. 
• Replacement LCD's are available when necessary for $80.
